I created this new thread to discuss and quote NASCAR, drivers, tracks and NASCAR related most hyped, popular, noted and most relevant tweets. If moderators think this is a useless thread, please delete it.

Here's one from yesterday about the new Chase:

And one from today between Johnson and Keselowski:

I'm not the biggest fan of Brad K, but I love following him on twitter.

Jimmie Johnson is dead on 100% accurate.

The Nascar is doomed crowd that right now is in a frenzy cooking up all the ways this latest change in the Chase is going to kill Nascar for good, and saying they'll refuse to watch Nascar because of this...they're the same people that tune in every week, call the race "boring" and say they refuse to watch anymore. Then next week they'll watch, and then complain about how the race was boring, they refuse to watch anymore, yadda yadda. Next week, the same thing. Every week they say they refuse to watch, and they're back next week watching and complaining again. There are days when I really wish they would actually make good on their promise to not watch just so the endless complaining would stop.

Then they would complain that they can't watch Nascar because Nascar ruined itself.

NASCAR bans alcohol from gaming, and also energy drinks?

Here's a render from the #15 5-hour Energy, er Clint Bowyer Toyota Camry from NASCAR '14 video game.

Thoughts? Agree, disagree?

Saw that earlier. No matter the reason it's so terrible. I'm thinking they just couldn't get them to agree to be in the game rather than energy drinks being banned completely. I know I always am bashing the game. But after owning the last two releases they are a joke. And this is a good example.

Harvick's car in the 2011 game was sponsored by himself, instead of Shell or Pennzoil. Probably the same thing happened, they couldn't get the sponsor to agree. But yea, the game is pretty much a joke, lol.

My question is, why didn't they just use the Peak scheme?

Why do that, when they can make the scheme a $5 DLC and drain more money out of people? lol

Why even not use the sponsor in the first place? Its not like 5-Hour left Clint...

They couldn't get them to agree to be in the game, so that's why his name is on it.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I bought Nascar the game and Inside line and didn't see much improvement. I skipped pc version after I was it was basically just a port. 14' isn't looking any different too. The craving I have for a nascar game just isn't with their interpretation of Nascar. Too arcadey with not enough flexibility or ability to mod. Heck if their first game allowed mods even that would make the game 10x better.

The fact the primary Nascar driver cars don't even have legit sponsors or very well done paints (and the player can't make their own to replace them) is just annoying.

I'm just going to debunk the idea that NASCAR won't allow energy drinks into their licensed games. Look on the B-Post of the 18, you'll see all the usual sponsors, including Monster Energy.

I can't remember who said it, but one of the developers said that the Bowyer scheme was not finalized or something and so they just put Clint Bowyer on the hood. This was before the renders were realized, however.

Well that Bowyer scheme was just posted on the FaceBook today, so if that is their current state they should get their asses in gear for the release date, which is a week from Tuesday.

Really hoping this is legit since a few other racing pages are reporting this too. Johanna Long has been consistent with average equipment, I'd like to see what she could do in top-tier stuff. As for Jeb, I'd like to see how he does in a Nationwide car as well, since he had a good season last year in Trucks but needs a ride for this year. Maybe these two just found a new home?
