Hopefully someone can help me out here:

I am having issues installing car, track, patch files. I installed the WinRar so they can be unzipped. I mainly use this website to install new cars and tracks. I put the patch in the main papyrus folder and I tried running the patch "fix" but it does not recognize that the game has been patched to the latest version (1.2.0.1 I think..). I downloaded a track from here also and placed it in the tracks file, the game recognizes it but cannot load it. Same with cars, I placed them in the series>cup folder but the game does not recognized any new cars I install.

If someone can help walk me through this I would appreciate it, I just got the game a couple weeks ago and am excited to update it with new cars/tracks/sounds ect.

Thanks!

1st...you don't 'put' the patch in any folder. You click the 'Install/Run' button and it self-installs.

2nd...Tracks go in the C:\Papyrus\Nascar Racing 2003 Season\tracks folder. Tracks may not load for several reasons. Usually, in my experience at least, it's because the track is missing a 'setup' file for whatever mod (other than the default CUP one) you might be running. An easy way to check is to open the particular track's folder and see if there are easy/medium/fast.cup.sim, easy/medium/fast.cts.sim, easy/medium/fast.gns.sim etc. files. If not, just copy & paste some from another track's (one that works) folder. If you are running arcade mod instead of simulation it may be those setups that are missing.

3rd...car files get placed in the series\...mod name...\cars folder. Then, while in 'Opponent Manager' unselect the 'Display Active Drivers' (if checked) and scroll down to the bottom of the list. New cars are added to the bottom of the list (just like anything in a real-life list) and aren't included until you select them (check mark) and then 'Save' the roster.

I hope my explanations make sense.

It looks like its working now, I saw the patch was a .exe like you mentioned.

Do you know any other good sites that have a lot of downloads?

Thanks!
