I need help setting up a wheel I just bought please. Does anybody use or have used the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel? I am using Windows 7 and it will not recognize the wheel via USB. I haven't been able to find any drivers online. It did not come with a CD to install when I bought it but I was able to find a SWPRW.zip file online which had a folder and program called Sidewinder Central for setting up the wheel.

Looking to see if there is a software update available for it or any help getting it working. Greatly appreciate any help. I've looked on the forums here but no luck.

So I have found conflicting answers online the past two days about the compadibility of the Microsoft Sidewinder Wheel to my Windows 7. I guess I should have done more research before I bought it but it was only $15 dollars and in good condition. It would have worked on my old desktop.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what wheel I should invest my money in that works with Windows 7? I was looking at Logitech Momo but I see the G25/ G27 are very nice, but just not sure which is worth the money. Currently, and for many years, I use my Logitech Duel Action Controller. Everyone I've talked to say's that PC Wheels are more fun and better.

It should work, I have the same wheel and use it on my windows 7 and windows 8.1 laptop. I just use the usb, but when I got mine I just plugged it in and went. Wish I could have an anwser for you!
