NR2003 Glitch Question

Hello all. I have had this problem numerous times. It's where whenever a wreck had just happened, when I restart the race, I see that the AI drivers have damage in the exact same state as the race that I just wrecked in. Here is a picture to describe what I'm talking about.

Exit out the weekend back to the mainscreen then go from there, that should fix it (presumably you have a save point from before starting the race from to resume with).

I've had this too, it seems to be a glitch in the game, tore plenty of hair out trying to figure out what was causing it.
