Fantastic Job!! Love the ride height and models.. I know you guys took great care in the modeling and over all design and it shows... A big thank you to all the guys that spent time away from family to allow us to have a updated mod....
One quick question:
I know I remember reading Allen was testing high res on templates and such will you guys be releasing the carset in 2048 or will that be left to others?
Matt, thanks. I have driven the mod since you had NNS11, it was great then, and it will be great now. Rock on dude. Thanks again. Will look forward to another great Xfinity season in the seat of this mod.
The link that just says "NXS15" is BGN physics.... "NXS15_cup" is cup physics... I wish they would explain that on the site, since I had to download both to figure it out and I live in a country with the 124th fastest internet in the world.
There is a 2048 carset ready. Matt will be uploading it shortly. Wanted to release them separately so we could make sure there are no bugs, and if so it would be easier to isolate them then trying to sift through multiple release versions. The 2048 cars will be up soon. Follow on cars beyond Daytona will be done by several sites I am sure, including those here who choose to openly contribute to all the mods available.
There will be a 2048 COMPRESSED carset released shortly. We wanted to see if there was any issues with the 1024 UNCOMPRESSED car set first. If there was, deal with troubleshooting those issues before we add another variable to the mix.
It will be up shortly. But just an FYI, no support will be given should you choose to run 2048 compressed or uncompressed car files with the NXS15 Mod. We tested this mod on a variety of computers ranging from laptops to i7 gaming rigs. And this mod doesn't play nice with 2048 paints, compressed or uncompressed. This mod is made for stock (retail) tracks with what was called back in 2003 high res (1024) car files.
So please do us a favor, if you download car files from somewhere else and all of a sudden you aren't getting good fps, do not ask us what the problem is. The problem is not the mod, but what you choose to download to run it. So check those car file sizes that you download and hold the person or website accountable for making car files that work with these mods and tracks before you come here to ask us why your fps are below 10!
