Over 43 Drivers...

Alright, I have a question. When running a race (say Daytona) and you have a list of say 57 drivers, what happens? Does the game pick certain drivers based on their ratings, or is it completely random?

In other words, if I run those same 57 drivers through the full 36 race season, will I end up with likely 48 or 49 drivers for some that DNQ'd and some that made it over the season, or will I end up with 43? Thanks.

The game generates the ratings of the cars, so the weaker rated cars will be left out. You most likely will end up with more than 43 though.

The game will randomly pick 43 guys to race each week. I have found the drivers with higher Qualifying ratings make the show and those with lower do not (This was with my testing and figuring so results may vary). What I usually do though is select 45 guys in my roster that I want to start (Not all 45 but I select the S&p every week). At the end of the season you will see more that 43 drivers in the standings because some will make it and some wont, from week to week. But the game generates the random rating between the Min & Max each race, so it varies who makes it and who does not.

Then I race. If they made the race then hey, they didnt make qualifying speed. If they did welcome to the show. Right now I have 54 guys in my NWS11 Roster. Cars with 3 different drivers and I select which driver will drive what week, and some with 2, some with 4. Then I go through and leave the regulars checked for the week. E.Sadler, B.Scott, ect... and select which drivers drive where. D.Ham or J.Logano? and so on..

Hendrick4life's way is pretty good.

What I do is that I select the cars that are out of the top-35 or top-30 and choose which go-or-go homers attempt the race. I go to the single race section and go to the track that I'm on in championship mode. I then sim through the qualifying mode and see which drivers that would qualify 36 through 43 or 31 through 43. Time consuming but it makes it interesting.
