Hi fellas,
I started this in the wrong forum but I will continue it here.

What mod do I need to download to get the 1990 carset paint schemes to fit the cars properly?
I was told that I needed the "tgs" mod or something like that but I could not find anything like that in the download section. If it helps, I downloaded the 1990 carset from the NR2003 website.

Thanks in advance!

yount19,

You aren't looking for a 'tgis' mod. 'tgis' is typo-speak for 'this'. So, what Snoopy0626 was saying was, "You need this mod" and the link he provided in the other thread. The link didn't seem to transfer over so here it is again: Rioux Mods - CUP 90 mod. Then, as Snoopy said, once you have it unzipped place it in your ???:\Papyrus\NASCAR Racing 2003 Season\series folder.

All you need to remember is that you need to install the 1.2.0.1 patch 1st, then mod(s), then car files. If you're planning on using anything other than the CUP physics (i.e. CTS, GNS) you'll also need the PWF (Project WildFire) GNS mod & the PWF Truck mod. There seems to be differing opinions on whether or not you need the PWF CUP Damage & PWF GNS Volumetric Shadow Fix files. My guess is that they couldn't hurt.

Sage...he mis-understood a remark I made in a previous post. I was telling him about the .tga file. .tga is a paint file, not a mod file, and is used in the export/import section. So goes like this yount, a .car file can have a .tga buried deep in the code, but a .tga file is only part of a car file and can be interchanged at your export/import screen in your opponent manager.

Hi guys, I just got back from officiating basketball games. I am downloading the zipped "Cup90 mod" as we speak. How long does the download process take? The MB downloaded counter is dragging and I thing it is stuck on 7.89. I downloaded the 40 day trial edition of winrar so could that be an issue? Or maybe it's my 2002 computer. I have not had too many problems with downloads though.

Shouldn't be an issue on the winrar, The cup90 mod is gonna take a bit...now with you saying you've got a 2002 puter.....I'm wondering about processor speed and frame rate. I upgraded from NR3 to NR2003 mid-summer last year and my old video card was sluggish at best...it wasn't til it crashed this spring and we got a new puter that NR2003 came to life for me...course I had a top line ATI video card put in for me. On the whole you should be pretty well....I didn't have any problems, mostly 'cause I had the puter made for NR2003 (and installed XP instead of 7).

canadienhits,
Do I put the Cup90_cup folder in the series folder? I am doing that and the 90' cars are not showing up when I go into the game.
