Painting Tutorial

Hi Guys,
I hope someone can Help me, i´m an extreme painting Noob c.c and want to make
a paint for my silverado truck #66, the white-blue one, and later My Impala SS
#24 Jeff gordon or #71 Eco Fuel saver.


What I have to do before I start painting ???
How to paint ??? which programms ??? Tips ???
Do you know some good Paint Tutorials ???

What I have to do before I start painting ???

You're going to need to download the number you want, the logos, a template, and a base. You can get all this stuff here, Masgrafx, NNRacing, or Google.

How to paint ???

It depends on the program you're using. Normally with templates there is a layer called "Base" or something similar to that and that is what you paint on. You should create a couple new layers like "Logos #1" and "Logos #2" and a number layer, too.

which programms ???

I use GIMP because it is free, but you could use PhotoShop. Paint.NET is free, too.

Go check out the iRacing forums, they have a great section there on painting with their templates. I highly recommend it.
