I am hoping he does good. Honestly, I am just happy he is running full time now. I wish it was Nationwide, but I guess owning half of his own team doesn't get him in their automatically...

I think that injury was a blessing in disguise. He should do much better with this experience when he does level up into a higher series.

Nice to see him taking the humble route. I'm sure many of you can attest to my distaste of the star power Pastrana used to get his foot in the door, and the way he went about his debut weekend...but running full East notches him up a bit on the respect I have for him. I still would rather he not succeed, but that's just me...

Glad to see he's not taking the Danica route and straight up doing Nationwide races...he's being smart about it and taking it one step at a time.

It's good to see that as drivers with popularity in other froms of motorsport make the jump, they're figuring out they're going to need to start low and work their way up. I think guys like Dario and Hornish are prime examples to them as to why they shouldn't jump into cup.

Scott Speed went from F1 to ARCA yet still manages to retain a number of haters. I imagine the same will happen with Pastrana.

Pastrana will have haters because people think he will be a reckless moron like he portrays himself accidentally on Nitro Circus. He wasn't an idiot when he was a teenager racing in supercross, I assume he won't be in NASCAR. Aggressive? Of course, but since when is that a bad thing?

Pastrana has always struck me as a smart, nice, modest guy. I had no idea there was any negative hype surrounding him. Seems very strange. I don't think he's going to rise with any sort of bad reputation.
