I've been basically stuck on 1 or 2 games the past few years.

And now that I have a PC that can run the newer style games, anyone recommend other PC games besides racing games, I'm pretty familiar with those.

Na, doesn't have to be free. I don't mind paying.

I'm a star wars freak, that Star Wars Old republic looks pretty cool.

Love the splinter cell games too. I had the first 2 but then stopped getting the Tom Clancy games when I got wrapped up with nr2003.

I recommend Minecraft. It is a combination survival/sandbox. It also has tons of mods like NR2003. Here's it's website:

Battlefield 3, and if you like it get Battlefield premium.

I agree, if you want to go the FPS direction this would be a good pick, especially considering the fact I think for sure you're machine could handle the beauty of it's graphics.

League of Legends

Everything GOG.com has. Special mentions for Theme Hospital/Dungeon Keeper series. And Outcast, and SimCity 2000 and Star Wars games

Finish the Splinter Cell series. It gets really interesting if you ask me

Otherwise, I recommend Fallout 3. I've been hooked on that game since it was released. Its a first person shooter/RPG.

I also recommend Minecraft, In my opinion it is one of the best games out there. The developers are also very involved with the community and updates are still being released that are adding new features.

Sim City 4.

Great community there. Lots of support, mods, buildings, basically everything you need to create an empire.

I don't think that I'll ever finish that game...SO MUCH TO DO.

If you like Batman at all, you owe it to yourself to try out either Arkham Asylum or Arkham City. Both excellent games.

I'm biased when I say this but you could always try either NHL 07,08, or 09. Really fun game to pick up, tons of leagues out there and large community support with mods, textures and just about anything else at The Breakaway

And of course there's always the Grand Theft Auto series.

The Fallout games are great (Fallout 3 & New Vegas), also recommend Elder Scrolls : Oblivion and Skyrim. Between these four games you should never run out of stuff to do.

NHL 04, plus the 1996-7 mod or the 2011-12 mod are better than 07-09. Those mod teams have tweaked NHL 04 to play like a televised hockey match. Go look it up on Youtube, it is amazing. I had it on my old PC then the HD died.

I'd recommend trying out Portal. It really takes the FPS genre in a totally different direction and does it very well.

Diablo III is fantastic. If you tried out the original or Diablo II, this one is much more polished. It's more addictive as well. I've never stayed up until 2:30 playing games, at least until D3. Classic hack & slash.

If you want to learn to fly, try Flight Simulator 2004 or Flight Simulator X. Lots of amazing things to see and do once you get the hang of it! :D
