PC games you recommend?

I've always been a fan of "The Sims" series (newest one is The Sims 3 & it's various expansion packs), not so much for the actual playing the game with the little Sims aspect of it but for the building aspect of it.

Games I play/enjoy are Team Fortress 2, The Sims (I enjoy all of them but the third one is the newest and best IMO) GTA4 is fun just to screw around with, Garry's Mod, COD World at War is pretty dang good. And +1 for Minecraft. Don't just look at screenshots and videos or reviews though. Go buy it or try it for yourself. It's worth it. Also Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 can be addicting.

I've yet to try BF3 even though I've had it ever since it came out. But from what I've heard/seen it is awesome.

Is BF3 a single mode kind of game too? Or is it more geared for multiplayer? Also, I'm assuming online play for it is subscription based? What am I looking at price wise?

Yeah, there's a single player campaign, that takes a good amount of time from what I remember with 3 modes of difficulty. Easy, normal, and hard. On the PC I can't remember the price exactly but I know the 360 version is down to 40 dollars I saw somewhere. And the subscription based no idea, the 360 is once you buy the game you're online.
