Just for kicks I thought I'd post a thread about what kinds of vehicles SRD members own and drive.

Here's mine, rebuilt basically from the ground up and with custom paintjob done in my front yard:

1996 Nissan Maxima. Runs good at 178k miles. Maybe if I actually get the record deal I want on the 7th I can afford the used 2003 Audi I've been eying.

Audi is definitely an upgrade over a Maxima. I ditched a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire for a 1995 Jeep Cherokee, go figure. Closing on 250,000 miles on the Jeep, or 'Halloween Machine' as friends have dubbed it.

Replacing the entire floor in a unibody vehicle ended up being quite the adventure. Had to fabricate some parts from scratch as well using sheet metal. The end result was worth it though, it'll go anywhere I can see myself going in any weather conditions. The Sunfire was so twitchy and light trying to drive 1 and 1/2 miles to work in the snow would be very nerve-wracking.

1982 Monte Carlo, re-done, made to look like an SS. That's why the license plate says ss wanab
It's silver, got a 350 in it. The computer that would be in it has been taken out, so it's a lot like a muscle car.
Man I love that car

Currently I have:

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 23K mi --lightly modded and goes like stink.
1995 Chevrolet K1500 53K mi --got to have 4-wheel drive in the snow belt.

Yeah you can guess by the mileage on these I don't get out much:D

I've always been a "buy American" guy when it came to my vehicles, but daaamn do I like that new Volkswagen CC.

Definitely agree on the snow thing.................and for fuel economy I've actually gotten 25 mpg with this Cherokee. Driving the speed limit because there's cop cars every 100 feet helps that number a bit I think.

Man that's an awesome clone Flatout,

those rallye rims look great, and the whole car looks clean without the striping down the sides like the originals had.

Aside from the '70-'72 models, the '83-'88 SS' where some of the best looking Monte Carlos ever.

Too bad they couldn't come from the factory with 350s in 'em.

Here's mine. 1996 Chevy S10. Used to be my cousin's but she wanted something bigger. *apparently this one wasn't big enough because she didn't knock the fence down with it. But she did bang the heck out of the right front fender!*

EDIT: post moved to next page

Here in CT they'll pull you over for the slightest thing because that's how they get revenue for the state. I've been pulled over three times for taking my hand off the wheel. These idiots up here don't understand that some people actually drive standards and that in order to shift you must remove your right hand from the steering wheel and place it upon the shifter. At least it gives me the opportunity to make some cops feel like total and complete idiots, but it means they'd be out to get me for the slightest thing as payback. Not to mention I went to school with a couple of them, and thought they were pricks back then too.

88fan, a grey Sonata beats a metallic turqouise Chevy Blazer for a first car........It was so embarassing sometimes I painted some chrome flames on the front just to get rid of the 'Barbie car" image. Gotta love Krylon Original Chrome spray paint lol.
