Hey guys,

I have had the NR2002 game since it was released and I never bought the 2003 version just because I liked the 2002 version so much. Well I finally bought the 2003 version and I cant figure this thing out. The steering is crazy I must not have it set up right, it feels like when ever I get up to speed on the backstretch it spins out before i even get to the entry. And the car always wants to nose dive to the infield. What do I do to fix this. Its so wierd because 2002 is soo much different. lol have pitty on the rookie Thanks!!

Have you tried re-calibrating? and what setup are you using?

Most setups will make the car slowly hook toward the infield, just like in real life, this helps them to turn better. You'll have to hold it at a slight angle to keep it straight.

The physics engine was the same one EA used since '89. I've never raced 2002. or previous, so no personal seat-of-the pants experience. I have read; where all physics engines are the same, and interfaces are similar, but the 2003 season is the "...loosest...". (Accounts of hardcore Nascar sim reviewers like ra64 -- Epinion.com .)

Your account reminds me of when I took the game off 'arcade' setting. Found it was very different -- but I never went back.

Maybe you're getting the sim equivalent of the riddles the COT's caused crew chiefs, and drivers, to solve, when they had to adjust for the different platforms.

That, "...not in Kansas anymore Toto!" feeling will go away I bet. Little more right foot input steering technique maybe.

I guess I'm wordily saying: I'm thinking your controller is ok, spend a few hours more with 2003, and see if issue persists.

I could be f o chit.

's all good racing. :)
