Pocono 2012 WIP update

Just thought I would post some updated pictures to some of the work Sean (badhairday) and I are doing on Pocono 2012.. Shots below are still WIP so will be a while before we post the track. I'm listing below the things we have done so far and things we still have left. This is based off Revamped Reloaded track and before we post we will make sure Shane is fine with it.

As we get more items done we will post more screen shots

Updated so far:

• New Track texture
• New Concrete Pit lanes
• New apron logos
• New Start finish line logos
• Extended Fencing around track area
• Added orange cone markers in fence in turns 1, 2, and 3
• New Track shot
• New Track logo
• New Track winner mip
• Reworked wall areas

Things in the works

1. New Bill Boards
2. New wall signage
3. New High Res updates to some of the signs and infield objects
4. New victory lane update

Looks amazing! Doing a fantastic job on this! I might start coming to you to get some pointers so that I too can perfect tracks like this! My tracks always look bland and boring (that and I am terrible at .lp files but that is a different story) so maybe I will ask you for tips on .mips some day! (y)

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but are you going to rework the turn one apron and move the wall on the short chute heading into the tunnel turn in close to the track? I think thats the only track changes, but other than that, awesome job. You should see about getting with Revamped, Smiffeden, or even Safer Barrier, they could probably use your talent to give them a hand with their tracks.

I think the wall stayed where it was, but the SAFER barrier made the track narrower. Also, there is no grass on the short chute or the "backstrech" from what I can tell from the Arca race and Practice.

As of this moment here is a list of the work we have done so far.
First of all the track is based on the revamped 2009.

Total rework of pit road including the removal of the armco wall and coloured asphalt.
Concrete pit boxes with skid marks.All new pit markings
Pit road caution lights and officials.
The straight between 1 and 2 is now fenced all the way as per race.
A new safer barrier wall has been added on the infield between 1 and 2.
New yellow lines edging the race surface.Grass removed between 1 and 2.
Marker cones added to the entry of turns 1,2 and 3 .
New darker grass texture.
New asphalt mips
New S/F line and Sponsor logos

Still to come:
All new billboards and wall signage werever possible
Just starting work on adding the extra racing lane on the front stretch.

Plus
Michigan is very close to completion just awaiting some billboard logos and tidying up stuff.

Updates strips and a few bill boards

Sean really put in some time today and corrected the lane strips down the front stretch. He also updated the cones going into the corners. I've started working on bill boards and correcting a few issues with the camping world logo on the apron. Here are a few updated shots. Also included one of the back stretch showing the added safer barrier
