Possible Kyle Busch/Skittles Scheme?

I work in a kroger and was walking by the registers when i saw a kyle busch skittles scheme on the header of the skittles display. i can't find any pics of the display but has anyone else seen this as well?

Ergo, Skittles is part of M&M/Mars.

During the 2008 season, Mars U.S. brands will serve as the primary sponsor of the No. 18 car for 30 races. Mars will feature the M&M's colors beginning with the 50th running of the Daytona 500 on Feb. 17.

Snickers and Pedigree also will serve as primary sponsors for several races. Additionally, Combos, Twix, Skittles, Starburst and Milky Way brands will provide support as associate sponsors.

Interstate Batteries will serve as a primary sponsor of the No. 18 car for six races.

This was 2008 but they might still be planning something.

And that isn't a "Skittles" scheme. It says "Starburst" on the hood....

also...sick of the flames on KB's cars. Flames and candy = melted candy...they don't mix in life, and they don't work as a scheme, 90% of the time, this being one of those times.

Now I see it. Didn't catch that initially...but it looks like the scheme is Starbust-centric, anyway.

yeah true. i just thought i'd post about it b/c it caught me offguard when i saw it. i'm thinking i wonder if thats an actual scheme or just a scheme they threw on a KB car just for the display cool beans either way.

yeah like i was thinking kinda plain for a KB scheme. also where the skittles logo is on the QP, there's flames below that like on gordo's car.

Flames for Snickers = Roasted Peanuts in Snickers
Flames for other Candy = The way they ya know melt the Chocolate and other candy making material.

So yeah Flames go with Candy moreso then they go with say Dupont.



Also didn't Kasey Kahne appear with a Bugles car for the past few seasons but never ran one (that I recall). It's just really a display piece, although I'd love to see a true Skittles scheme back again for a few races.

Not necessarily. About five minutes from Memphis Motorsports Park there is a big DuPont plant. Whenever I am down in west Tennessee for Christmas, I usually have to drive past the road you turn on to get to MMP and the plant while leaving a family Christmas Eve event and have seen a flame or two (controlled of course) at the plant. As for that KB scheme. It would be better without flames. Mainly because it would show a shred of creativity on the designer's part.

On a side note, I just made myself sad when I mentioned Memphis Motorsports Park (RIP).

We should SO bomb the racecar people (whoever they are) with our paint schemes and get jobs. That would be kick ass if SRD painted all the cars for 2012. It would be the BEST looking season ever.
