Problems with COT mod

I use SS.net mod, registered to this forum and downloaded many cool cars. But, when i went to play, the cars paint schemes went to look like this:

Which is the problem? It's with the mod? How can i distinguish a SS.net mod car and other mods cars?

I believe this happend to me once where ever you got those cars the templates are backwords if this keeps happening plz make a video of you downloading and then go onto the game and look at the car... maybe it's just the website ur usin... wat site is it?? but ill help as best i can where did u get the mod?

I got the mod at the own ss.net.

This is the procedures i use to download cars, and in 99% of cases everything goes well.

1: access the link
2: save in desktop
3: extract the files with WINRAR
4: move the files to the cars folder
5: go test. The ones with the problem above i delete

well since u said 99% of the time every thing goes well i would just stay away from downloading cars from whatever site is giving u these problems here are some other sites you could use instead...

That looks the SImodifidied.ccom CoT MOD that you are trying to put the SS.net cars on.

It looks as if you're trying to install the ss.net cars you've downloaded into the Dan Nisbet COT mod. In that case, the ss.net cars will not work as the templates between the two mods are not compatible with each other.

If you're looking for 2008 cars for the Nisbet COT mod, here is one place to get them:

you said that u already downloaded and installed the ss.net mod from the site. i have had this same problem until i noticed, like said above.. that i was accidentally downloading some dan nisbot cot cars, which is a completely different cot mod. just keep an eye open when downloading and steer clear of the dan nisbot car files. usually a car file for the dan nisbot mod will say in the file name, also take a look at the picture before u download. once u download enough cars for the ss.net mod u should be able to distinguish the difference when looking at a dan nisbot car.

i dont believe a program like that exists. i have heard of people moving the template around a bit to get it to work but that's a lot of work for a beginner. if u wanted to get those cars to work that are messed up, you would have to install the dan nisbot cot mod.

same happened to me t i had simmodified first then i g0t ss.net:lol:

Strange thing: some SIModified cars i downloaded worked correctly in my game.

you are in the ss.net mod when you try to access the cars, right? if u are in the SIModified Mod at the main screen then the cars will look messed up. make sure that the ss.net mod is active when u look at the cars. maybe that will help.. i dunno.. trying anything here.. lol

if you export the tga you can tell pretty easily where each car goes on the flat

with dan's cot the nose points <-------- this way

with the sscot mod the nose points this way ------ >

both cot mod have pluses and minueses but i see more support for the ss.cot so i would dump the dan mod IMO

Thats because there is no such thing as an 07 or 08 or o9 cot mod. The ssnet cot mod is for all years.
