'-pure virtual function call'

I finally upgraded my NR2003 to version 1.2.0.1 so I could race the spoiler cars and newer year cars. However, when I try to run the game it crashes and gives me a runtime error. It has code 'R6025' and says "-pure virtual function call'. I'm running the game on a machine with XP installed. Where or how can I fix this?

Sounds like you put in the NO-CD patch then the update, needs to be vise -versa

(assuming your using the NO-CD patch)

The update wouldn't install. It said i didn't have a valid previous version of the game. I just copy-pasted the no-cd patch into the folder. How can I get the update to install? I have it downloaded.

Try uninstalling it, moving the nocd to a different folder, and reinstalling the game from your disc. Add the patch then and sub in the nocd patch.

did u upgraded your xp to service pack 2?? sometimes it happens after...

Hey i just got nascar racing 2003, i get the same problem, pure virtual function call, ive got the patch in before the no cd and i still get the same problem, im on windows xp service pack 3. Its bugging me big time.
