I know im new at this, but this question has kinda bugged me since nascar 1, why do painters always shade the colors towards the bottom when the colors on real cars are always bright. for instance white is white always top bottom of car, but when when they are painted for game the white becomes gray, and numbers are bright white but on cars they are painted a little darker white. so after all these years why are cars painted with dark shadeing when on real cars from top to bottom they are bright??? this is not to make painters mad and critisize just an observation, now i do know when sun hits car the bottom of car does get darker. but why can't the cars be painted bright from top to bottom??? not all painters do this, but most do???

I do tend to notice that when you apply a "Chrome" layer on the car. Personally i think it gives it a nice touch, and makes it look better. But to each their own.

I believe if you turn OFF the Shading/Highlight layer on the template you are using that effect should not show up.
:)

They do that so it looks more realistic (IMO) But don't turn off your shading layer  If you really want that part of the shading gone, just delete that part.
