Just got 3dsmax 2010. Don't have brazil (not paying that kinda money for a program sorry). Well i hit render and it says "You are rendering a sequence with no assigned file. Do you want to continue?" What do i do to assign or do i just hit continue ?

What scene are you using? Could you post an image of this?

Did you change any of the required Gamma settings to what is below? (Goto Customize>Preferences>Gamma and LUT)

And if you already did that, was it an PNG flat that you loaded?

Okay, so when you go select what file you wish to use for your paint flat, before you hit okay to load it into the Material Editor, there should be a few options underneath the browser window for the gamma setting that image will use. Something like this:

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

One says "Use image's own gamma", and another says "Use system default, " and there's a third on where you can override it. Go with "Override," and input 2.2 for your value.

You're welcome. All of the times that I load a png to be rendered, I have to override its gamma to be 2.2. I never had this problem with jpgs, probably because they don't have an embedded gamma setting to begin with.
