Once I get off my shift at work (at 7PM PST/10PM EST), I'll start putting together the results post for Kansas. The graphics are made, the images are all set, but I need time to write up the entire post and check some facts before submitting it.

The results should be up between 8:45 and 10 PM PST tonight, and the two Martinsville Speedway threads up shortly after that. Thank you all for your patience as I juggle multiple jobs and other issues.

Thirty-two members of the SimRacing Design community, including our twelve championship contenders still in the hunt for the 2018 SRD Pick' Em Series Championship, stepped forward and submitted picks for the race weekend at Kansas Speedway. Scores were on the higher end of the spectrum for this round, ranging from our lowest score of 150 points all the way to our winning score of 236 points. Of the thirty-two entrants for this round, twenty-four of them managed to score more than 200 points, which is quite impressive in this day and age of the Pick' Em Series where a single accident that wipes out several top drivers could bring scores crashing down. From the twenty-four members still in the running, just seven of them were able to surpass the lofty 220 point mark. Here are our final seven contenders still in the running for the win at Kansas Speedway (in A-Z order):

2448fan4life
antknee10 (2013 SRD Pick' Em Series Champion)
Chandler Tyson
John Gregorio (2007 SRD Pick' Em Series Champion)
matheus357
Ryan81398
Virox6549

All seven of our finalists this week had submitted some fantastic picks in this round. However, only one of them would be able to hoist the hardware at Kansas Speedway and claim a hard-fought victory over the competition. For the sixth Playoff race in a row, none of our Championship Playoff contenders were able to take home the win that would have guaranteed them a spot in the Round of Eight. Our winner this week picks up his third career Pick' Em Series victory and his second win of the 2018 Pick' Em season. With a winning score of 236 points, please join me in congratulating @Chandler Tyson on taking home the win in our 2018 Hollywood Casino 400 SRD Pick' Em Series event! 2013 SRD Pick' Em Champion @antknee10 comes home in second place with a total of 227 points, @matheus357 takes home third with 226 points, and we end up with a tie for fourth place between @John Gregorio and @Ryan81398 with 225 points apiece. @Virox6549 comes home in sixth with 223 points, and @2448fan4life rounds out our Top-Seven with a final score of 222 points.

With this win at Kansas II, Chandler Tyson takes home another ten Bonus Points. However, since he is not one of our twelve remaining championship contenders, he does not take home any Playoff Points. matheus357 takes home a single Playoff Point for his Top-Three finish at Kansas. @Tim2488 (3,920 points) maintains his hold on seventeenth place in the "Best of the Rest" battle for the highest non-championship points position. Six members are still within reasonable striking distance in the hotly contested fight for seventeenth place in the standings with just four races to go in the 2018 season.

Here are the final overall points standings for the Round of Twelve after the conclusion of the race at Kansas Speedway:

Here is our final Championship Playoff standings for the Round of Twelve after the conclusion of the race at Kansas Speedway:

Former SRD Pick' Em Series Champion John Gregorio (8,871 points) ends up as our points leader with his Top-Five finish at Kansas Speedway. @Fishtail (8,857 points) takes home second, @DannyM (8,855 points) ends up in third, matheus357 (8,846 points) ends up in fourth, @Saan Anguish (8,826 points) takes home fifth, Ryan81398 (8,798 points) takes home sixth, @Ryan597 (8,795 points) ends up in seventh, and @ahspencer01 (8,790 points) rounds out our Top-Eight contenders that will advance to the Round of Eight.

Unfortunately, that leaves @db512 (8,774 points, -15 below cutoff), @NAlt4 (8,724 points, -66 below cutoff), @starscream24 (8,714 points, -76 below cutoff), and @Bradfan4ever (8,633 points, -157 below cutoff) as the four playoff contenders who will not see their championship aspirations come to reality this season.

After our points reset for the start of the Round of Eight, here is the updated overall Pick' Em Series standings:

Here is our updated Championship Playoff standings for the Round of Eight as we head to Martinsville this coming weekend:

Ryan597 (9,305 points) retakes the top spot in the standings due to his stellar regular season performance (4 wins), Saan Anguish (9,304 points) sits in second, Fishtail (9,300 points) is in third, and matheus357 (9,292 points) finds himself on the cutoff bubble heading to Martinsville for the first of three races in the Round of Eight.

John Gregorio (9,284 points, -8 below cutoff) drops to fifth place from leading the standings after the Round of 12 ended, DannyM (9,268 points, -24 below cutoff) finds himself in sixth, Ryan81398 (9,266 points, -26 below cutoff) is in seventh, and ahspencer01 (9,240 points, -52 below cutoff) is our eighth and final championship contender in the standings.

Here are the low scores for our non-championship members to beat:

On the rookie front, @Brandon Miller once again takes home the honors of being our highest-finished rookie contender with his eleventh-place finish at Kansas Speedway. Brandon Miller (5,790 points) expands his lead in the 2018 SRD Pick' Em Series Rookie of the Year standings to 470 points over Bradfan4ever (5,320 points). @HJimenez42 (5,007 points) moves up to third in the standings, and @GambitJon (4,930 points) drops down to fourth in the standings having not submitted picks for the race weekend at Kansas Speedway.

Only three of our fourteen Rookie of the Year contenders submitted picks for Kansas, which is somewhat of a shame to see, now that only four out of the fourteen are still somewhat active this season.

Congrats @Chandler Tyson on your 2nd win!

Ahhhh.....so close! I was not at my best in that round took some chances on some picks that didn't pan out in my favor. All together though it was a great season, my best in a long time, and still in the hunt for 5th place. Now its time to get more wins and finish strong.

Well, this was a nice thing to wake up to! I knew my picks were all in the top 12, so I had a good feeling about my score. I didn't think it was a winner, since I thought Harvick in 12th would screw me over. Also, this is the first time I've won multiple races in a season!
