Thirty-one members of the Sim Racing Design community submitted picks for the events at Bristol Motor Speedway this past weekend - the final event of the opening round of the 2020 SRD Pick'em Series Playoffs! Scoring was fairly decent, with all members scoring well over 100 points! However, our top two finishers were the only ones to break the 200-point barrier. We, yet again, have a tie in our top 5 - this time, for third place! Now, let's meet our "Final Five" who battled it out for the win in the "Last Great Coliseum" (in A-Z order):

What a difference a week makes! Last week's "Final Five" consisted of Playoff contenders only and this week, there are no Playoff-making members to speak of! That means that all those moving on to the Round of 12 will have to do so the good old fashioned hard way - points. Now let's dive into these results... Without further delay, please join me in congratulating @matheus357 on taking home the win at Bristol! He does so with a score of 214 points! @Tim2488 takes the second spot by racking up 203 points on the .5-mile bullring! SRD Pick'em Series rookie, @NascarRyan24, and @starscream24 tied for the third position as they were able to score 193 points each! And @Brandon Miller rounds out our top 5 with his score of 191 points!

Alright, so we left Richmond last week knowing that two members - @Ryan597 and @Johnnyk1990 - would be moving on to the Round of 12 without question. We also knew heading into Bristol that two members - @Hendrick4life and @BrendonH12 - were in must-win situations due to not submitting picks for the events at Richmond and had to leave Bristol with a victory in order to transfer to the next round. Unfortunately for these two members, they did not find victory lane this past weekend and have therefore been eliminated from the 2020 SRD Pick'em Series Playoffs.

So now, we still have two other members left to reveal that will also not be moving on in this year's Playoffs. So who are the unlucky two? Well, one of our contenders made the same mistake that our other eliminated contenders did and failed to submit picks for the events this past weekend at Bristol. That unlucky member is @Keselowski2Wallace.

Three down; one more to go! The last member that failed to transfer to the Round of 12 left Richmond in decent shape. However, his Bristol showing was just about as bad as you can get, while his opponent earned a top 12 finish! So, with that being said, the last heart we will be breaking tonight will be that of @Hendrick9Fan. As for his opponent? None other than our very own, @MattSRD28 (who assures me this is not rigged at all ).

So now, let's take a look at the Final Round of 16 Standings:

However, some of his rookie rivals faired a bit better than him and were able to close the gap just a bit this past weekend. The deficit that @timoteo328 is staring hard at is now 468 points! @NascarRyan24 takes home the title of top-finishing rookie this week as he was able to earn a top 5 finish!
