After a lengthy delay, here we are! Ready to recap two rounds of events at the Dover International Speedway! Let's go!

Round 24:

Thirty-three members of the Sim Racing Design community submitted picks for the first round of events held at Dover International Speedway two weeks ago. Scoring was very high across the board, with all but one member scoring over 200 points! (And just wait 'til you find out who that one member is. lol) We also had another tie in our top 5 this week - this time, for the fifth position! But before we get into specifics, let's meet our "Sensational Six" who battled it out for the win on the Dover concrete (in A-Z order):

db512
HakaBaka
Harry Nurpplez
MattSRD28
NascarRyan24
XxTeam48LowesXx

As mentioned above, some very nice picks were submitted by all of our participating members in the first of two rounds of events at the "Monster Mile." But, as always, we can only crown one winner! So, without further delay, please join me in congratulating @XxTeam48LowesXx on picking up the win at Dover! @XxTeam48LowesXx takes home his first checkered flag of the season with a score of 255 points! Second place goes to @Harry Nurpplez, who ended up with a total of 244 points! Three points behind him, is SRD Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, @NascarRyan24, who earned a total of 241 points en route to a third-place effort! Our very own @MattSRD28 places fourth with his score of 240 points! And rounding out our "top 5" are @db512 and another one of our rookies, @HakaBaka, who each scored a total of 239 points!

((lol at yours truly in last place))

We'll now take a look at the full 2020 Season Standings as of Race #24, brought to you by @MattSRD28, following our first round of events at Dover. We'll go into further detail regarding our Playoff and rookie battles as we recap the second round of events from the "Monster Mile."

Round 25:

Thirty-three members once again submitted picks for the second round of events at Dover International Speedway. Scoring was wayyyyyy lower compared to the first round of events. However, all members did score well over 100 points and our top 5 all managed to score over 200 points! There are no ties to speak of this week... in our top 5, that is. There was a rather interesting tie for last place, however. lol So, with our introductory statements out of the way, let's now take a look at the "Final Five" members who battled it out for win #2 at Dover (in A-Z order):

BobbyRicky62
michael1992
Ryan597
Saan Anguish
starscream24

As usual, some very nice picks were submitted by our "Final Five" members. But only one could hoist that "Miles the Moster" trophy that they hand out to the winners at Dover International Speedway. So, without further delay, please join me in congratulating @starscream24 on taking home his first win of the season! He does so with a score of 212 points! Just missing out on the win by a single point is @Saan Anguish, who finished with a score of 211 points! One point behind him and finishing in the third position is @Ryan597, who ended his race with a total of 210 points! Fourth place goes to SRD Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender, @michael1992, who scored a total of 207 points! And rounding out our top 5 is @BobbyRicky62, who earned a total of 206 as he captured fifth place!

2020 Drydene 311 at Dover International Speedway Full Results, brought to you by @MattSRD28:

Following the double rounds at Dover, @XxTeam48LowesXx and @starscream24 add their names to the growing list of 2020 SRD Pick'em Series winners! As well, @Johnnyk1990 and his three wins, along with two-timers, @db512, @Keselowski2Wallace, @BrendonH12, and @Ryan597, continue to be the most comfortable members as it regards their chances of making the Playoffs. However, for all of our members who only have one win so far this season - @Brandon Miller, SRD Pick'em Series Rookies @timoteo328 & @HakaBaka, @MonkeyWrenCh, @MattSRD28, @Gwen Cole, @jbraun57, @4WideRacing, @Hendrick9Fan, @2448fan4life, @NAlt4, and @Hendrick4life - the Playoff picture is a lot less clear. Adding in our two new winners and we are now up to 19 on the winner count for the 2020 SRD Pick'em Series season. That puts us three over our 16-member Playoff field limit! So, even though you may have that all-important win, that single win is not going to be enough for at least three of our members! @Brandon Miller currently holds on to the last spot in the Playoffs, while our newest winner, @starscream24, along with @Gwen Cole and @jbraun57 are currently on the outside looking in. But there's still ONE last race to recap before we seal the deal on the 2020 Playoff field and that means one more chance for somebody to steal a win and possibly a Playoff spot from another member!

So with that, let's now take a look at the current 2020 SRD Pick'em Series Playoff Cutoff as of Race #25, brought to you by @MattSRD28:

And now, the full 2020 Season Standings as of Race #25, brought to you by @MattSRD28:

And finally, let's take a look at our 2020 Sunoco Rookie of the Year Battle! Not much has changed. @HakaBaka continues to lead over rookie rival, @timoteo328, following the events of our doubleheader weekend at Dover! The gap is now at 489 points.

So now, let's take a look at the 2020 Sunoco Rookie of the Year Standings as of Races #24 & #25:

And that does it for our race recaps of Rounds 24 & 25 of the 2020 SRD Pick'em Series! We hope you all had fun battling the "Monster Mile" and are ready to continue to compete for one final win, and possibly a spot in the 2020 SRD Pick'em Series Playoffs!

We will now be preparing the results and graphics for our final race before the Playoffs begin: Daytona - where anything can happen! The results should be up by sometime tomorrow and we greatly appreciate your patience! After that, we'll be all caught up and ready for Darlington!

Thank you all for playing! :)
