Brad Keselowski's No. 2 car will not only have a retro Miller Lite paint scheme for the Daytona 500, but it will have an old-school driver for Thursday's preseason test session at Daytona International Speedway.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, who last drove in 2005, will be in the Penske Racing car for the afternoon session of Thursday's test. Keselowski will drive it in the morning.

Both drivers will wear a throwback firesuit honoring Miller Lite's 40th anniversary. Wallace, 57, is an analyst for ESPN.

"I am pretty pumped up about this," Wallace said in a statement. "This is a big deal, and I can't wait to get the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford up to speed – especially at Daytona. This will be my first time driving the new Gen 6 car, and I think it will give me a better perspective on how I cover the races for ESPN as an analyst."

Though Wallace said it will be fun for him to get back into a race car, it's doubtful he'll be able to provide much feedback that could help for Daytona 500 preparations. The last car raced by the 1989 champion was NASCAR's fourth generation of vehicles; the fifth-generation Car of Tomorrow (2007-2012) and the Gen 6 car (which debuted last year) have been on the track since then.

It will mark the first time that a current member of the NASCAR Hall of Fame has driven in a NASCAR test.

Wallace's long history with Miller Lite prompted the sponsor promotion during the test. Wallace won 39 races when he drove the No. 2 car for Penske Racing, but he didn't win the title while driving for team owner Roger Penske. Keselowski gave Penske his first NASCAR championship in 2012.

"This is a terrific way to pay homage to the heritage and prestige of the No. 2 Miller Lite Ford," Keselowski said. "To have Rusty Wallace, a NASCAR champion and a NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee, assist Miller Lite in recognizing the long association they have had with Team Penske and NASCAR is something special. I feel privileged to be a part of it."

Ya know, that's pretty neat actually. Any word on what the retro scheme is? I always liked the black and gold MGD scheme and the silver Miller scheme (though I'm not sure if that ever did run in Cup? I remember it being an Indycar scheme). Never liked the late 90s Miller Lite scheme though as far as stock cars went, I preferred the 2002 and on scheme. Just something about the blue and white that never clicked for me.

He's just running that retro white miller car that Brad's running.

And this was definitely my favorite Rusty scheme.

See I don't mind that one, it's got consistency and looks decent.

It's this one that never did anything for me

The worst news from this is Rusty Wallace will still be doing races for ESPN as an analyst.

Rusty's a great person and all but he's just not well suited for a consistent TV analyst role like that. Brad Daugherty isn't either.

Since there was no testing today, does Rusty plan to run tomorrow?
