Lap 54: Top 3 staying close together but no changes in position have taken place. They are up by 4 seconds over the new 4th place runner of Hancock who finally got around the 22 of Blanford. The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged as we close in on halfway and the end of the stage.

Lap 62: Missimer still holding on to the race lead but Lennox and Harkleroad are all over his rear bumper trying to find a way around. Missimer able to run the top better than pretty much everyone else and that is keeping the 18 and 54 pinned coming off the corner and unable to complete a pass. Hancock in 4th is closing in but is still 2.9 seconds off the lead. Further back Tim Kunkel has moved up to 8th getting around Johnston in the 47

    Kyle Missimer - Leading
    Greg Woodard - 11th (+59)
    Shane Lennox - 2nd (+59)
    Will Anderson - 14th (+48)
    Darren Ingram - 23rd (+7)
    Jakub Smetana - 21st (+2)

    Ryan Bleskachek - 27th (-4)

Lap 65: Harkleroad to the inside this time on Lennox and he'll easily take over 2nd and immediately move up to the rear bumper of the 68. Hancock still closing but has another 2.4 seconds to make up. Blanford holding on to that 5th spot 3.8 behind the leaders.

Lap 70: Harkleroad has tried several times the last few laps to get around Missimer but the 68 car just good enough in the upper grooves to hold onto the lead. That battling has let the 45 of Hancock join this battle as he now applies the pressure to Lennox for 3rd. Further back in the pack Merzlak has had an engine failure but pulls it off the track quickly and takes it behind the wall. Not the run they were looking for but they are already locked into the playoffs with a win at Lime Rock.

Lap 76: Hancock and Lennox side by side for several laps for that 3rd spot but Hancock finally able to roll the bottom good enough to complete the pass off of 2. He now looks ahead to Harkleroad and Missimer who continue to race hard for the lead but it's still Missimer with the edge on outside. Jordan has moved up into the top 5 getting around Blanford for 5th. He has now pulled away from the 22 and runs 3 seconds off the leaders.

Lap 84: 6 laps left in the stage and Missimer finally able to take a breather as Hancock now races Harkleroad for 2nd. Hancock to the bottom and Harkleroad all the way up near the wall. Hancock needs as many stage points as he can get right now should he not be able to win. He entered tonight 37 points out but as they run it's down to just 8 points. DJ Harris to pit road for service, possible tire going down on that car. Harris will lose 2 laps but is already in the playoffs after winning at Charlotte earlier this season.

    Kyle Missimer - Leading
    Greg Woodard - 12th (+58)
    Shane Lennox - 4th (+55)
    Will Anderson - 16th (+46)

Lap 86: Hancock clears the 54 and now Lennox tries to follow on the bottom for 3rd. Harkleroad starting to build up some speed now being in that outside lane for several laps and he edges ahead at the line to maintain 3rd. Trouble for Johnston in the 47! He goes up in smoke down the backstretch, heartbreak for that team as they were just 1 point out as they were running but now are officially eliminated from making the playoffs.

Lap 90: Harkleroad has it wound up now and he pulls to the outside of Hancock into turn 1. Off turn 2 and the 54 now 2nd and closes in to the rear of the 68. Missimer to the bottom and here goes Harkleroad to the outside. Off of 4 and Missimer will shut the door and hold on to win the stage leading all 90 laps. 10 points for Missimer and he also locks up the bonus point for leading the most laps tonight. Harkleroad 2nd, Hancock 3rd, Lennox 4th and Jordan rounds out the top 5.

Lap 95: Everyone comes in for service under the stage caution. Woodard wins the race off pit road with a fuel only stop, not sure what their plan is but he will be a sitting duck on the restart. James Gegner coming back to pit road with electrical issues and will lose several laps getting them fixed. Here is how we line up for the restart.

Cars lined up and ready for the restart. Green flag waves and we are back underway at Richmond!

Lap 96: Woodard really slow into turn 1 and slides up the track and blocks Harkleroad and Missimer. Lennox from 5th cuts low and makes a 4 for 1 move off of turn 2 to take the lead! Brilliant move for the Coors Light machine. Jordan will follow up the middle into 2nd as Woodard stacks up the field big time in 3 and 4. Hancock the next to get through up into 3rd. Harkleroad now 4th and DeCosta from nowhere into 5th.

I can't believe the timing on this.......

Lap 97: CAUTION. Pileup going into turn 1 as several cars spin and hit the wall. Not sure what happened but several cars at the back crashed on the straightaway. Peters, Bleskachek, Farrell, English, and Spencer all involved as we go right back under yellow. Lennox the leader.

Replay shows an engine failure for another one of our bubble drivers. Bleskachek goes up in smoke down the frontstraight and pulls to the inside to get out of the way. Peters tried to squezze by on the inside but gets clipped in the right rear by the 60 turning him up the track and into the left rear of Spencer. Farrell nowhere to go and piles into the rear of the 00. English just misses the 00 but grabs the wall trying to get by. Everyone continues except the 60 who will take that Camaro behind the wall.

Lap 102: Split decesions on pit road. Most of the field comes in but 12 cars do stay out as we only ran 2 laps under green. Hancock will assume the lead and is now in position to lock himself into the playoffs. Jordan the first off pit road lines up 13th with fresh tires. Lennox was the leader but now comes to the restart down in 15th. Here is how we look with just under 80 laps to go.

Reporters catch up with a frustrated Dan Busch:

    "What happened?"

"What do you think freaking happened! Just driving around idiots but I guess that's no surprise with the way our season has been. I really don't know what that #48 was seeing or thinking. He just came right up into the side of us on the straightaway turned us dead into the wall. I am pretty sure he isn't going to have a very good rest of the season!"

CC 8: You're in the top 10! Stick with it!!! Hows the car?
DR 8: I barely missed that mess... But the car is good. I like this set of tires. But I need the long green runs to get it to come to me. These cautions are gonna hurt me each tome.

Green flag back out at Richmond and we are back up to speed!

Lap 103: Hancock a good restart clears the lapped cars on the inside. DeCosta in 2nd can't clear and now battles with the traffic in the outside lane. The rest of the field running all over the track high and low trying to make up positions on the restart.

Lap 105: DeCosta able to power around the outside of the 42 and now looks ahead and sees a ticket to the playoffs just in front of him. 2 car lengths separate the top 2 as they begin to pull away.

Lap 115: DeCosta took a shot at the lead on the bottom but Hancock able to keep the momentum off the top and hold on to that top spot. Top 2 going to war for this as a place in the playoffs is on the line. They are up 1.5 seconds over 3rd even though they are battling it out. Update on the cars that pitted under the yellow and it has yet to work. Lennox, the leader before the caution, currently highest among drivers that pitted and right now races in 12th after falling to 18th on the restart.

Lap 116: Lead change and DeCosta will rocket to the front. The 17 switched lanes and found the speed in that outside lane to take over P1 and now he is within a shot of making it into the playoffs. 65 laps left to decide it.

Lap 126: DeCosta only a half second up over Hancock but it doesn't seem like the 45 will be able to challenge for the lead at the moment. Curtain still 3rd and stuck behind lapped cars 2.4 seconds behind. Anderson has taken over 4th with Blanford in 5th. Lennox has started charging and now runs 7th, +11 spots over the last 20 laps.

Lap 132: 48 laps to go and DeCosta still leads now up by 7 tenths over Hancock but that might not be his biggest threat to win this race. Shane Lennox has found another gear and is back into the top 5, 3.8 seconds behind the 17. Still plenty of laps to see if the 18 can race all the way back to the lead.

Lap 138: Hancock reeling in the 17 now just 3 tenths between them with 42 to go. Lennox has rebounded all the way up to 3rd and has 1 more car to pass to get some clear track to try and track down the top 2. 3.6 seconds is that gap. Curtain now in 4th with Anderson just behind in 5th.

Lap 151: The field very spread out now with 30 to go. DeCosta still clinging to that 3 tenth lead over Hancock but they better find a little extra speed. Lennox is coming and coming fast. The 18 now clear of traffic and has the lead down to 2.5 seconds already. Lennox easily in on points, but a win does come with 5 extra playoff points which could be vital in making it to Homestead.

Lap 155: Hancock may have been saving as he now challenges for the lead into turn 1. He dives low but DeCosta able to power up off the top and pull ahead into 3 and 4. Hancock a bad corner and DeCosta will clear and hold on to the lead but that side by side battle let Lennox close in a half second in 1 lap. This race starting to look like it might come down to the wire. Further back we look at our bubble drivers right now which are Missimer and Hooper. Both are past champions and right now 2 points is the difference between the 2. Hooper has fallen to 18th and is under fire from Hawkins for that spot. Missimer not as strong as he was to start the race but is running right behind Kunkel and looking like he might be able to make a pass to move up to 11th.

Lap 161: That didn't take long. 2 seconds gone in 6 laps. Lennox to the rear bumper of Hancock for 2nd. DeCosta 2 car lengths ahead of that battle with 19 to go. Curtain still 4th but now 3.5 seconds behind the front 3 cars.
