I know the whole premise of iRacing is to race online and against real people whenever you want, but am I the only one that would appreciate getting to run against some good ol' AI with iRacing's physics? For Cup, at least. Offline racing was how I learned to race close. It would probably serve to better the abilities of a lot of drivers on iRacing who never had a game like Nr2002 or Nr2003 to race offline with. I think it would be really neat if you could run offline seasons with iRacing, that was always fun for me. But hey, it probably makes no sense business-wise for them to develop AI; that, or it would be the last thing they work on. I just think it would be cool.

Good morning Hyperacti. :)

Good question. I like options and +1 on AI being a great learning tool -- especially for pack racing.

My only concern would be, how much they might charge. :-O

If they did ... would it be called aiRacing?

As for your question... my answer is no. If you want to practice there are plenty of open practice sessions to join.

I don't know about AI, but if iRacing doesn't have a testing mode, much like NR2003, I think they should add that.

Although, don't ask me much, as I have never tried it.

iRacing does have a testing mode but you of course have to be connected to the internet.

I think the whole object of iRacing was to gather people to race against each other and get away from racing against computer opponents. I don't think that's changing anytime soon.

As much as I want iRacing to support AI, if you watched the latest episode of iRacingTV (or whatever it's called), you'll know why they don't.

Eek, I don't know if I would ever want AI in iRacing. Of course, it would be a good tool to help people run in traffic without people screaming at someone like rabid 10-year-olds every time a small bit of contact is made (which seemed to happen every time I hit someone the tiniest bit.)

I don't think I racing should have ai. But I do think That NASCAR should have looked to them when they wanted to Develop a Nascar game. They have all the right tools to make one hell of a game.

Sorry I was thinking out loud, lol...
