going back through and importing my swath of old work from SBR into the game and came across this time capsule..... man, I thought this rendition of the Dexter car was AWESOME way back in early 2005 when it was done......

Both look pretty incredible tbh. Oh the nostalgia. I used to have a die cast of that car that had green numbers which looked way better than the orange they used imo.

The birthday car, either version. Just because of how ridiculously over the top it was lol

I love the original Lake Speed version with the cake splatter on the numbers - I always assumed the second variation came about because someone in a supervisory role took issue with the fact that half of the car number was obscured no matter what direction you saw it from.

Here ya go guys! Go forth - download - toss me some comments and ratings - and most importantly, enjoy them!

I may eventually release an update on the two #75 cars with them on the cup2000 templates - but I think they are just fine the way they are for the time being.

In spite of how tedious it may have seemed - I think I may have had a legitimately fun time getting the grid lines to match up on this base.

In this day and age of the Darlington 'Throw-back' race - why no one has yet to run a Kyle Petty Hot Wheels tribute scheme is beyond me. Such a fun scheme to look at!

I love this scheme! I think the light blue variant of this scheme is great too. Petty has some great alternative schemes too!

Going through my catalog of back work from the Team SBR days and picking out my favorites to redo and update on the newer templates that are available now.

Even though we were painting on 'High-Resolution' templates back then, newer ones like the Splash N Go 03-05 cup templates are still like 50% larger - so virtually none of the original raster graphics I have can really be used.... case in point: Ricky Rudd's 2002 Iron Man (656 starts) scheme. Top is the original I did for SBR..... posted 2/5/05, lol.... using the original game's cup templates and the bottom is one I just completed using the new SnG 03-05 template.

The ONLY graphic shared between the two is the 'Iron Man' logo I made for the hood way back when. Everything else was redone from scratch in Vector format this time!
