Slow A.I.

Okay so I noticed the AI run 55sec laps at daytona and I run 51sec laps how do I fix this?

At the Race Setup screen, change the AI% (Usually by default its set at 70% which is easiest), tweak that percentage until you get something that you can contend with

I'm talking about no drafting and in real life they run 48 second laps

Actually, they do get to about 44-to-46-second-long lap times. A 48 second lap time would only be about 190 mph and they go faster than that in the draft.
