Some NR2K3 trouble

So, I finally decided to reinstall NR2K3 after nearly a year without it, and I'm running into problems playing it. Every time I go to start a race, once I click the button to start whatever session it is at the time, the game crashes on me with this:

It looks like it could be DEP keeping it from working. Have you turned DEP off?

Well, I turned it off, but I still have the issue. Tried to add it as an exception, and it told me it has to run with DEP on, so if that is the issue, not going to be able to get around it.
