Do you think you should tip at Sonic?

To me tipping at Sonic woould be like tipping at McDonald's or Burger King.

I look at tipping this way. I always tip my delivery people because they take the risk of driving to deliver my food, but if I'm at a restaurant I never tip becuase it is their job to carry the food from the kitchen to my table.

Yes, Sonic exists! Sonic is one of the best burger places around! I've tried a lot of places here in Texas and Sonic is the best. Never ever buy a burger from Whataburger, overpriced and ansty.

Yes, Sonic exists! Sonic is one of the best burger places around! I've tried a lot of places here in Texas and Sonic is the best. Never ever buy a burger from Whataburger, overpriced and ansty.

But anyway, I haven't been to a sonic in a LONG time. I'd like to go back. Maybe soon enough.

We DO have a drive in restaurant here that's locally owned, and its closing next Saturday . They have the best burgers and shakes i've ever had. Guess we'll have to wait til next spring!

it was me and my mom, and 3 friends in a van, and we had 3 coupons, we ordered some food, it was alot, but not much

they didnt like us i guess, and they took 45 MINUTES to make our food, they told us to go park in the parking spaces and they would bring the food out! i was like WTF!?
the other cars behind us got there food within minutes, and its not like we were rude or anything to them, then we get our food. FINALLY, and go to eat it, the ice tea we got or whatever it was, tasted like it was 10 years old, my pound burger i got was gross, the lettuce was all soggy and wet and damp, and the meat was pink, the soda had only 2 ice cubes in it and they were tiny.

in my opionion...i wouldnt..lmao

We used to have Sonic in the Gainesville area, but the franchise owner decided that even though his drive ins were always packed with satisfied customers, he was tired of messing with running his restaurants and just shut them down. He didn't try to sell them or anything, just shut them down.

yeah i know what you mean. i used to love sonic till that day that happened to me.
back when i lived in kansas i think? or somewhere else..idk..lol. we went there alot and it was so good, then its like they all disappeared and reappeared out of no where..lol

I don't know what would be worse, them taking "45 minutes" to prepare your food, or you're family actually was pitiful enough to wait for it without even paying lol.

The tater tots at Sonic are the best I've ever had in my entire life. The sonic burger is cheap and packs a lot, plus the free route 44 upgrade is a steal. I'll take a picture of my Sonic the next time I go so I can tease all of you that don't have one.

I get teased every time I drive by one of our closed down locations, they didn't even take down the signs.

We finally got a Sonic here in town, should be opening by the end of the month

I ate at one in Phoenix and loved it...great food and not overpriced.

As far as the tipping goes, if the service is quick & courtious I'd throw a few bucks in.
I see it as the same as Applebee's Curbside-to-go pick-up, and I tip them too.
