Welcome to the start of the 2019 SRD Indycar Season! We're getting things kicked off here in St. Petersburg, Fl.

    Race Info:
    - Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
    - St. Petersburg Airport Course
    - 1.8 mile street course
    - 80 laps, 144 miles

    Weekend Schedule:

    Thursday: Practice (60 mins)/Qualifying
    Friday: Happy Hour (30 mins)/Race ( 80 laps)

"First race of the season with Spencer Racing, I am excited to see what kind of pace we have over the season. Road courses are going to be my kryptonite but I will definitely push myself to the fullest in order to achieve the best results, and ones that these guys deserve, and it all starts here in St. Peterburg."

"Given how the roval test went I don't have the highest hopes for a win, but we'll go out there and do the best we can in our first race, and just maybe prove the test session wrong"

"After the great result at the Roval test, I'm excited for this race. I love street circuits, and I'm hoping to find a groove early in the weekend. Can't wait to start the season with Steven Merzlak Racing. Here's to hoping we can contend."

"First race of the season and also the first in my IndyCar career, and I'm both excited and anxious over what's going to come. I honestly don't know what to expect here. Probably just a solid finish in the top 15 would do the job for team Precure Dallara for now."

Dilbeck: I don't know what to expect. Maybe we were sandbagging the test sessions... maybe we just suck. Guess we'll find out soon enough!

I'm not good on road courses, so this is just a fight to survive.

Well, due to some technical difficulties (hopefully temporary), I don't have the nice results files for practice/Q, so we'll have to settle for plan 'ol text.

"Well practice and qualifying were something, to say the least. We're confident with our practice pace since we got fourth, and then everything goes wrong in qualifying. Like, everything. We went from fourth to thirty-second... Oh well, time to focus on the race and I'm hoping the #98 crew at English Motorsports give me a Precure Dallara that has a good race pace come race day."

"We somehow qualified A LOT better than we practiced so I have ZERO idea as to how this is going to go, maybe we'll do decent, maybe we'll fall to near last during the first turn. Obviously we're hoping for the best and happy with the qualifying run, but right now it's a bunch of head scratches around the garage surrounding our road course consistency"

@BrendonH12: “Yeah, Nick ran his mouth enough so we finally gave him some speed... just had to a little bit from Everett... But seriously, great effort from the #85 team and BHR all around. We still got some work to do, obviously - some speed to find - but we’re still hopeful to see one of these Chevrolets sitting in victory lane at the end of the day.”

Definitely not the speed we were hoping to unload with here, maybe the race will come to us later on.
