We're here in Homestead for race 2 of the 2019 SRD Indy Season. The first oval race on the schedule was a wild one last season, and drivers and fans alike should expect similar results this year.

    Race Info:
    - Homestead-Miami 121
    - Homestead-Miami Speedway
    - 1.5 mile oval
    - 121 laps, 180 miles

    Weekend Schedule:

    Wednesday: Practice (60 mins)/Qualifying

“We had a really rough outing last week, hopefully we can get our #4 Patagonia car up front and go for a top ten, if not the win”

Well Homestead being an oval has never been our strongest track. We are hoping the good finish we had last week will carry over to another good finish this week.

"So we're coming to Homestead this week. I think I am at a bit of a disadvantage here as I never really drove here with the Indycars, but it should be interesting to see where the #98 Hatsune Miku team would end up after the disastrous opening week for us at St. Petersburg"

"Hopefully we can perform better this week. Last week was really up and down and unfortunately we ended on a down note, but I'm optimistic for Homestead, I love racing ovals."

PLEASE NOTE: We will be running on the night version instead of Day-To-Night as intended. The racing was exciting, but a little too wild.

Fiorentini: "We've been improving a lot since practice, and 14th isn't a bad spot to start on your second race. Let's hope we can keep this momentum going into the race and put this Ipiranga car at the top of the standings."

Not bad. We had a good practice run and a good qualifying effort. However it looks like we fell off a little bit in Happy Hour plus a few others seem to have picked up speed. So hopefully we can find a little more speed out of it before the race.

"This looks promising. Fifth in practice and qualifying is a good result and while it seems we may have dropped the pace a little bit in Happy Hour, I believe that the team has found the optimal setup for us to be able to compete for the win at Homestead"

Well, got the outside pole next to Daniel (Asher), not a bad way to come into Homestead after last weekend's disaster. We really need to pick it up on the ovals to be in a decent spot.

Six laps in so far, and we've already had multiple leaders. The pack goes roaring into Turn 1, with Karda in the lead.

Lap 14, and we're under yellow! Looks like a stackup exiting Turn 2 was the culprit. Darren Ingram clipped the wall on the backstretch exiting 2, and then came down into Ledfoot, Jr.
    upload_2019-2-15_16-11-53.png

Ledfoot then got down into his teammate Scott Yost, who collected Hooper, Sr. and Matheus Fiorentini.
    upload_2019-2-15_16-12-53.png

All four drivers spin down the back, but were all able to drive away. Caleb Farrell is your leader at the line.

Correction: Jennings is the leader at the line, by a nose.

Lap 19, and we're back underway. No drivers retired, and everyone is on the lead lap. We'll have to watch the drivers involved however to see how the damage affects their performance.
