I knew it was only a matter of time. Kurt, now Jimmie and Matt. Screw this year. I give up.

Don't count them out so quickly, especially Kurt since he doesn't have damage. It could be worse like having Kyle (like me) or Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr. etc...

I had my 5 all in the top-5 for over half of the race. I knew I should have picked Harvick for being "Mr. closer". Kyle killed my day.

Nascar's longest night turned out to be nearly everyone's longest night - fans, TV crews, commentators, and SRD Pick'em entrants no doubt. The length of the race, combined with disappointing finishes from some popular picks lead to a long night and some longer faces. Fear not, however, as we are only three races away from the dropping of low race totals.

Yes, now that race #12 is complete, only three more races to go, and then low totals will start falling beginning with race #16 for those who've entered every week. If you haven't entered every week, fret not, especially if you missed Daytona. You'll have plenty of time to amass a strong 15 race slate of scores before the Chase cutoff.

Scores were relatively melancholy this week. This week's field of 63 managed an average score of 149.03 points. Nobody cracked 200, and only the top 9 managed to best the 175 mark. 33/63 scored 150 or better. One entrant unfortunately failed to crack triple digits.

On a happier note, we have our 12th different winner in 12 races, and our 11th first time winner in 12 races. Seriously, Pick'em veterans, get ahold of your lives! Our winner this week won by a margin of just 4 points over 2nd place, but the real story might be how the winner collected 7 bonus points during All-Star weekend while 2nd place collected zero. Had it not been for that, the outcome could have been very different. Let's all congratulate thisguy on a well-deserved win this week! Nearly ruining our streak of different drivers in 2nd place was wafflestv, winner of Bristol, with LarryFoyt50 and Sgt. Slaughter, who returns to the top 5, tied for 3rd, and Pick'em mercenary jaqua99 rounding out the top 5 in 5th.

Devin41 and defending Pick'em Champion roostmotor87 finished tied for 6th, with 2012 Chaser MillsLayne in 8th, Dodgeman4345 in 9th, and 086gf and rookie ChevyMan150 in 10th.

Congrats to thisguy on the win! :)

Credit to ShadowKnight508 for another great winner's graphic.

johnp continues to lead the SRD Pick'em points standings now by 27 over 2nd place Sgt. Slaughter who also returns to P2 in points after a brief sabbatical. rockmoon26 slips to 3rd place, while Fishtail maintains the 4th position. hijinxtattoo now finds himself 5th in the standings.

Haven't talked a lot about defending series champion roostmotor87 this year, especially in points, but all of a sudden the champ is making noise storming back into the top 10 by rising clear to 6th place from last week's 12th. ChandlerTyson is also going forward again having risen to 7th after nearly falling out of the top 10 despite leading the points earlier this season. MillsLayne is also new to the top 10 this week in 8th, with 24JGM sliding to 9th. moppenheimer now completes the top 10 in points in 10th place. jaqua99, despite having missed a race earlier this season, is in 11th place, with db512 picking up the Chase caboose in 12th.

On the rookie front, Kharvick29's reign of terror has come to an end. Kharvick29 is now P2, one point behind new rookie leader Chowda17. The Sound skipped this week and is now 3rd, with Kenny 4th, and Jordan Zoric - the former HurrMcDurr - in 5th.

Here are the full results from all the Charlotte festivities:

The points going into Dover next week:

Finally, the rookie points:

All three major series in action next week! See you in Dover!
