After tallying the results from the Sprint All-Star race and Coca-Cola 600, we have another week of really decent scoring all around. In fact the average was just a tick higher than it was at Kansas. An average of 191.76 over a field of 59 is pretty darn good.





While Charlotte saw even more scores above 200 than Kansas, Charlotte did not see any scores crack the all-time scoring lists. Still a win is a win, and this week we had a tie for the win. 218 is the winning score that was shared by DanAsher26 and 2448fan4life. Going in, 2448fan4life already had a win in 2014. A second win would be the first time in 2014 that there was a repeat winner. So was there the first repeat winner of 2014?






Well the first tiebreaker is always the bonus points that come from picking the companion events. By rule, the player with the fewer bonus points is credited with the victory because fewer bonus points means more points from the Cup picks, breaking the tie. It just so happens that there was an abundance of bonus points from two weekends. Neither player scored bonus points from the Coke 600's companion races. From All-Star weekend, 2448fan4life had 7 bonus points. DanAsher26 scored only 3 bonus points. That means DanAsher scored 215 from the Cup picks to 2448fan4life's 211. The tie is therefore broken and the win awarded to DanAsher26.

The top 15 with the most wins will earn a spot in the SRD Pick'em Series Chase Grid provided they have entered 20+ races. The 16th Chase position will go to the points leader after 26 races, if the points leader does not have a win.

I didn't see this in there but do winners have to be in the top-30 with a win to be eligible or is it just 20+ starts?
