Steering wheel...

I'm helping out a friend get set up for NR2003 and ARCA sims. He's a recent conslole convert so he needs a good wheel.

And was going to suggest the Logitech MOMO for starters, but I'm hearing some good things (ex. better pedals than the MOMO) about the new Thrustmaster RGT w/clutch.

I was wondering if anyone has any 1st hand experience with this wheel, and if it's better than the MOMO.

If your friend can afford the MOMO G25, I'd go for that wheel, I've got one and it works wondefully, I Had one of the Thrustmaster RGT w/clutch, it broke in about 2 weeks, and when I say "broke", I should say went up in SMOKE! something shorted inside, sent it back to Thrustmaster, they sent it back saying it must have been a power surge that caused this, and there was nothing they could do about that. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for, the MOMO G25 is by far the superior wheel in design, craftsmanship and durability. JMHO though. :yes:

My friend would love a G25, but money is a issue right now, that's the reason for asking about the Thrustmaster, it's going for around $105.

I've told him to keep tabs on e-bay for a used G25 or even a older TSW.

Ahhhh I understand about the money issue. He could get one of the Thrustmaster RGT's, what happened to me could have just been a fluke or just a bad wheel even though it was brand new, I've seen that before with new stuff. :wideeyed:
