    Most of the texture work is complete for the day version. Now it's time for all the shadows and detail.

    You guys are absolutely amazing at this. It's immensely impressive that here we are with a 16+ year old game and it looks this good. Not only that, but the tracks themselves are so accurate that a side by side with iracing you can barely see any deviation in how the track/banking progresses.

    Well done indeed!

    Not silly at all! The approach we’ve taken with our tracks means that the ambient light and shadows are closely tied. This helps give a more realistic environment since the lights and darks are tuned to the lighting.

    This essentially means that our night tracks are dark and can’t be changed without editing all the shading.

    We're looking for someone with 3dMax who can help us export a new jumbotron with animated video screen. We can send a fully textured model, we just need help with scripting. PM me if you can help out! ;)

    Details.

    We may not be able to release with this level of detail, but the same vector source will be used for any lower-resolution shadows. If we release with higher resolution, there will be blur applied to the final texture to simulate the distance of objects from the ground.
