how do you make a tga file for the cot cars and making them into a car file because my paintshop has gone all weird

I always save it as a .tga in the exports imports folder then go into the game, import it onto a new car and create the car file that way, if that's what you're talking about

when i get the cot car it comes up with the car that grey colour right. so then i go into paint shop the body of the car seems to be sitting on the top left corner and then i push import it goes onto the car sort of but paint scheme is always messed up so what do i need to get for it to work properly.

You can't use the in-game paint shop to import cars for the ss.net COT mod. This has to be done using the Opponent Manager. The in-game paint shop was originally intended for painting the cars that came with the game (the default Cup mod).

Also, make sure you have the 1.2.0.1 update patch installed. The patch adds the ability to import cars using the Opponent Manager. Hope this helps.
