Jimmie won't win 8 in a row. The way he's been performing, I don't think 5 is out of the question.

However, hopefully by then someone will be able to challenge him.

He may very well get to 8-10 titles...just not consecutively.

All Motor Racing is a mixture of Driver, Car, and Team. Fact is no driver has ever won a championship in crap equipment, Earnhardt had great cars, Petty had great cars, Waltrip had great cars.

If you call Jimmy overrated due to great equipment, you need to call every driver who has ever won a championship overrated.

He already changed it because Jeff and Jr missed it in 2005 and Tony Carl and Greg in 2006 . . . .

I honestly see them extending it to 15 drivers at some point, there are about 15 drivers that can realisticly compete so from Nascar's standpoint it makes more sense....

Not saying i like it, but based on Nascar's previous decisions, it makes sense for them to do it

guys, its irrelevant on what he did based on the old system..like stewart said, i dont get why people are saying this...the old system is GONE. NASCAR put this chase into effect, this is the current way the title works, and johnson won..we should be praising him, not hating on him

well really, there is nothing we can do about it..jimmie johnson is a 4 time cup champion..and people he probably will win at least 2 more...chase or not..he won it under the current rules..thats how it is

I think that Homestead is a great track, but this COT needs to punch a smaller hole in the air. It's killing the races. That Busch race was great, but the cup cars are so aero dependent, it just doesn't put up that good of show.

you know I think the main reason Jimmie has now won four straight is the 48 team is very, very good in the last 10 races, and the all the rest who are in the chase have very, very bad luck.

Did you watch the Homestead Cup race? Everyone was raving about how good a race that was, and with good reason. That was an awesome race.
