The sprint showdown.

I gots me one of them good idea's. We all know the showdown, win and you're in the All-Star race. 40 laps, two segments. BUT! While delivering parts at work today, I had an idea. A good one.

My proposed Changes:
10 Laps, only green flag laps count. No other segments, just 10 laps.
Now the tricky bit:
$500K to win. Yes, you read that right. Half a million.
Now the even better part.
A choice.
Win, and choose to take the 500K, but, you surrender a spot to run in the All-Star to the runner up
OR:
Decline the 500K and take shotgun, stone dead last, even if someone crashed in All-Star Q, behind EVERYONE, and go for $1,000,000. Second gets the $500K.
So.
What would you do?

My thoughts if I was behind the wheel:

I wouldn't take the risk if I were a driver, but that's a really cool concept.

It wouldn't be just up to the driver, the team would also make that decision. I'm sure any driver and team who had to race in the showdown to try to get in would just take the $500k and run because what would be their chance of winning that All-Star race? Very slim... So I don't really see how the concept would be good to have

Lower the Showdown money to about $100k-200k and that makes it much more reasonable to try and go for the $1m. $500k is too high.
