    Like mine:

Maybe the lockout is a good thing after all...every time someone predicts the apocalypse, the Canucks make it to the Stanley Cup Finals only to lose and see the city of Vancouver burn.

I posted this on twitter but how could the Mayans tell the world was going to end thousands of years after they had died, but couldn't tell the Spanish were coming over in just a few years?

Fisha695 at NTG Forums:What if we're really dead but the afterlife is a perfect mirror & continuation of what we were already living in and the transition was so instantaneous that we didn't even notice.... hmmmmm.

In the Back to the Future, there was Texaco gas stations. Do we have those now? Nope.

I've watched enough Doctor Who to know the world ends in the year 5 billion.

Well they were sort of correct in predicting most every movie would try to jump off the screen at you, which is what RealD 3D is all about. If a Jaws sequel/reboot was attempted, it would most certainly try that very sort of "shark in your face!" moment shown in that scene.

Royal Dutch Shell owns Pennzoil and bought the Texaco gas stations. Texaco oil products were bought by Chevron. Today, Royal Dutch Shell still operates a small number of gas stations under the Texaco brand, while Chevron owns the Havoline motor oil as well as any Tire & Lube Express' that are still in business.
