If you just watched it, it was ugly. I'm just saying right now PLEASE KEEP THE DISCUSSION CLEAN! We'd sure hate to have to ban/suspend people for an uncontrolled vent. Thanks!

Congrats to Matt Kobyluck, but I just lost a TON of respect for Joey Logano. I haven't seen anything that obvious since Cole Trickle hit Russ Wheeler after the checkered flag. Logano's going to have to endure a lot of deserved embarassment after this gets aired another 100,000 times. Not a good way to start your Cup career Mr. Logano.

If any disciplinary actions are taken, could they be carried over to the Sprint Cup side since this was a NASCAR sanctioned event. Perhaps there was a bit too much butter on the sliced breads car tonight??

[in mind]Cool, calm, collective, cool, calm, collective[/in mind]
Its racing, we have no control....what's done is done. With that in mind :D

I'm a little P/O'd not at Logano, but at NASCAR. Yea, some people will say that was blatant, but I say it was him gunning it to the end. What would NASCAR have said if they both kept going as in Logano hits into the 83 but both cars keep going towards the finish? It looked to me like he was trying the slide job at full speed rather than having common sense, but this is a non points race....it's supposed to be all out.

As for the Nascar issue stated above...Look at Hornaday. Where is his lap penalties??? He drove into the corner too far TWICE and wasn't penalized for those. He took out the leader driving in too deep (like Logano). IMO the only difference there was it wasn't for the win.

EDIT: Oh and before I forget....what about the 83 blatantly running Logano up into the wall while he was in the lead??? lol

yes you can because Harvick was suspended a cup race for doing something in a tuck race.

Hey everyone

I was filing my taxes and couldn't help but check out the finish on YouTube. And visit here of course. Well, I was pulling for Scott Steckly but it's unfortunate he didn't really make it too far. As for the finish, part of me wants to say "just let 'em race" but the other half sees the move as low and disrespectful. Personally I think they should have left the winner as Logano and penalize him but having everyone disrespect him. I sure would if I was his competitor and he raced like that everywhere we went.. It would be a bitter victory for him, and one he might look back in retrospect and regret. Just my personal opinion. Great racing though.

I gotta say I lost a lot of respect for both Logano and Hornaday.

But on a lighter note: How cool was it that Nascar let everyone race in the late model and modified races after qualifying rained out. there were like 49 or something like that in the LM race and 52 in the modified race. I just thought that was cool

Wish I could have watched the other two races (even though they were severely shortened) but I had to get home....those races were getting way too late I can't believe how late they were...NASCAR come up with a time schedule that won't cause us to go to 2 am EST PLEASE lol

You can check the last 3 laps out on YouTube. Search for All Star Showdown 2009. Sorry I don't have a link!

just saw the footage.
Lagano's move was just plain low. I've never had a good feeling about him..he seems to be just another Kyle Busch...
Now I know some will say its racing, and I'll agree with that. Should his win have been stripped away?...I don't know. I've been an Earnhardt fan since birth and watching Dale Sr. do that kind of thing...I liked it. In my mind the person who makes it to the finish line first won the race (Side note: Reagan Smith won Talladega) but if you make a retalitory move like that, maybe you don't deserve to be in victory lane. I'm not a Nascar official, so it's not my call.

However, I do have one question...This race is supposed to showcase the best drivers in the Camping World East and West series, as well as in the Modifieds and Late Models...so why were Lagano and Hornaday in there to begin with?!?!

I watched the end of the race. Gotta say, Legano or not, that was f'ing great racing. Legano just had some bad judgement. If he hit Seller and fought to the finish, good job. But he did hit him awfully hard. Like he said "Screw it" and just punched the throttle. The thing that makes him better than Busch is Legano didn't whine incessantly about it.

Hate to bring an old thread back from the dead. But I agree, I wanted Scott to win that race... Much like I want him to win every race. lol. But seriously, he's a really decent guy, I've known him for 7 years and even designed his paint schemes ('05-'07).
