This from Jayski:

UPDATE: It is also expected that Bayne will drive for the organization full time in the series in 2011. According to sources, he also is a candidate to drive the #19 Richard Petty Motorsports Sprint Cup car in select races next year. RPM is affiliated with Roush Fenway.(Scene Daily)(9-30-2010)

Bayne left MWR on his own accord. His future was uncertain so he left to get a head start on next year.

I hope Roush tries to hold on to Bayne. After all, David Ragan can't keep wrecking cars forever...

Ragan has wrecked less times than Mark Martin, Ryan Newman, Regan Smith, Bobby Labonte, Kurt Busch, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski, Marcos Ambrose, the five drivers of the #83 Toyota, Sam Hornish Jr., Joey Logano, and Elliott Sadler and the same amount of times as Jamie McMurray, Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Paul Menard. He's not doing all that horrible considering he's driving the fourth Roush car, I'm not saying he's doing that well either, just not horrible.

Because he's a weak driver. When you move aside and let everybody pass, you don't wreck as often. Also, they may wreck more, but most of the guys you named are finishing better than him. Sometimes you get wrecked when you have to hang it all out.

I think Ragan had better start stepping it up. With a few more years' experience under his belt, I could get behind Trevor Bayne in my hallowed #6. Even my pal "cousin" Carl Edwards might get shuffled down to second place in my heart if Bayne keeps getting stronger as a racer and Roush puts him in my favorite car.

Just as a side note, anybody think Jack's secretly getting back at Waltrip for their dustups over the past few years?

I mean, he grabbed UPS when they were looking at leaving MWR, now he grabs MWR's hottest prospect when they can't hang on to him. I think Jack Roush is not a man to be crossed, and I love him to death for it!

Last time I checked, MWR's hottest prospect went by the name of Truex...not Bayne.

Not a knock against Bayne, but I think we all know MWR's development program is focused around the younger Truex right now.

I'm glad to see that Trevor got a ride...even if it is with RFR.

Don't get me wrong. I've been enjoying the East Series for the past year or so after having just gotten "into" it, and Ryan is an excellent prospect. But Bayne just seems more consistent and solid at the present. Maybe with some more NW seat time, Ryan will become more solid. But I think it was just time for Bayne to move to a better team. I mean, that 60 team has been a monster the last few years, so you know it could be strong. I really wish Carl would give up the seat to Trevor and concentrate on the Cup Series. I honestl think he'd have beaten Johnson in '08 if he hadn't been so wrapped up in holding onto the NW points lead. He needs the focus, and Bayne needs a great team to show what he can really do.

Speaking of which, how dare you speak disdainfully about my sainted RFR! lol Honestly, it's been a rough year and a half for the Roush boys, but they're definitely on the upswing (except for Ragan...:arghh:)

Bayne gets dropped and Conway continues to drive... what a pile of suck.

Well, Bayne walked because he expected his team to get a sponsor for him. Conway has his own sponsor that will fund whatever team he drives for. So Conway gets to drive, and Bayne does not. That's how things go.

Conway doesn't wreck much. Does that mean he's a good driver?

Ya know, if MWR holds on to Bayne, in 2 or 3 years they could have Reuty in the 00, Martin in the 56, Ryan in the 51, and Trevor in the 55 or whatever number. And suppose Bobby Labonte stays with JTG in 2012 and Bayne and Truex are cup guys by then...... That would be a monster team. And Trevor would be sponsored by Out!, and Ryan by TireMonkey. I would be a huge MWR if they had this team. Its doubtful to happen, but it would be cool. Just thinkin' out loud here.
