Lee Spencer of Fox Sports said:
Martin Truex Jr. has agreed to drive the No. 78 Furniture Row Chevrolet in 2014.

Sources say the parties came to terms on Wednesday night. A formal announcement is expected next Tuesday.

In his eighth year as a full-time Sprint Cup driver, Truex has spent the past four seasons running the No. 56 NAPA Toyota for Michael Waltrip Racing. He is a two-time Nationwide Series champion.

However, MWR’s manipulation of the outcome of the Sept. 7 race at Richmond International Raceway and subsequent sanctions from NASCAR resulted in NAPA’s decision to part ways with the organization at the end of the season. MWR announced Monday that the company would move on with only two full-time teams for 2014.

Truex, 33, has two career Sprint Cup wins — the most recent coming June 23 at Sonoma Raceway. He has qualified for the Chase twice and is 16th in this season’s points standings.

I'm not surprised, hopefully he can contend next year. FRR seams to be getting better as a whole since Kurt joined this year.

Hopefully Truex Jr. and FRR can have a good season next year (especially for FRR, to see how their performance is without Kurt behind the wheel while maintaining RCR support).

I don't see Truex going anywhere with FRR...he isn't as aggressive as Busch. I sadly see him fading into the end of his career here.

A bit of a weird time for the news of this to break. Usually this kind of thing doesnt go out in the middle if the night.

I'm glad he's gone from MWR. He was really getting nowhere with the team. Lots of top 5's and 10's, and only 1 win. So think of this as a clean slate for him.

Glad he got a decent ride, though it's not quite as good as the #56 was. I don't look for him to do as well as Kurt did in the car, he's not the level of driver Kurt is.
I don't see NAPA in anything above as associate sponship roll in NASCAR, they used the RIR affair to get out.

This was basically his only move. Like others have said i dont think he will have the success that kurt busch has had in the 78. Kurt carried the car alot this year and he is a extremely aggressive driver. but i wish truex all the luck in the world i hope he goes back to MWR.

What? Why would he do that? HOW would he do that? Pretty sure he is leaving permanently, since MWR has no sponsorship for him and his relationship with them has pretty much been destroyed anyway by the whole Richmond incident.

This is going to be a huge year for Truex. If he can't make that car run a little bit like Busch did then he will have a hard time finding his way back to a top team.

He has big shoes to fill after what Kurt has done for the 78.

You guys keep saying he isn't as aggressive as Kurt but I still think he'll do well. I mean he did wheel his car to third at Atlanta with a broken wrist.

Keep in mind Truex has one more win than Kurt Busch this year.

I like the move, I think it's good for everyone. Best of luck to him. I think he can win a 1.5 miler or two with the way he runs at Atlanta, Texas, and Kansas.

He'll go to a more powerful Chevrolet team in 2015. Just watch.
