I have just played around with one of my cars in photoshop and this doesn't make a HUGE difference, but it looks a bit nicer. I call it "Clear-coating" your car. What I do is paint and decal the car, then on top of all that, make a layer of white, just plain white, then go in photoshop to EFFECT>CLOUD then just make the opacity under 10%. again, it looks to me like a clear coat and would work great on a superspeedway car since they to that on the real cars for Talladega and Daytona due to the high speeds. again, just something to try if you want. give me feedback if you try it.

I just made a white layer with about 5-7% opacity and got close to what he was talking about.

It's in your layers box underneath where it has the mode options mentioned at.
