Most of you guys are a million times better than me but I am still trying, also where are you all getting theese renders that make the cars look so real like the ones of the cars on track and ones that really look real?
Not a bad car, but still needs some improvements. The (snake skin?) doesn't line up in the rear in two spots, as well as the bottom yellow line. I would suggest using the program Carviewer, which I will provide a link for at the bottom. If you edit the line and move it up or down to match the rear bumper, and save it into your carviewer\manufacturer for the mod you're using, you can see in real time if it's matched or not. The numbers look a bit too long and not wide enough on the sides, easy enough fix. The CW logo looks rough on the edges, which can be cured using the pen tool. I would also suggest maybe trying to curve the yellow and white out around the front bumper or make a different style design instead of it just going straight down.
You gave it a good shot, this has the potential to be an excellent car if you can fine tune some things on the design.
thanks I did use carviewer I didnt noticice how off line the yellow bar was until now but im actualy using the car as we speak in a race so I am not sure how much more editing I will do. The snake skin on the rear was a pain I could not seem to get it right so i got frustrated and left it I know it looks kinda rough. The Copenhagen logo was copied from another car I made it seems when I colorized it in gimp it got rough I think the magic wand wasnt on the right setting, I will admit I didn't notice it until you said something. Lately I have been making my own schemes from scratch just throwing ideas I get into cars. I do think it does look better in game. Maybe sometime Ill post all my cars. I think I have done better but this paint might stay as is for awhile.
There you go, make a new thread for all your paints and update it with future paints like a lot of guys do on here. I used to have to open 3dsMax and update the render scene to check on the parts of my base matching one another, I just found out about Carviewer a couple weeks ago. XD You should try opening a new window in GIMP around 4000x4000 pixels or something and try messing around making a pattern, then duplicate it and match it up again, and combine both of those and repeat until it fills the screen. I did that with the Venum (MMA, not energy drink) snake head logo and made it into a pattern. Came in handy for one of my cars, even though it was a simple base.
