Me and my friends have a independent movie company and we recently started renting an old building. In the closet unknown to me at the time was a Radio shack Red Arrow R/C car complete with charger, battery, and original. When my friends found it they gave it to me.

For those of you who don't know which car it is it the buggy in this video

Mine is in immaculate condition.

The charger i have now is a Archer 7.2v Fast Charger (as seen in this picture)
Archer Fast Charger 7.2V Nickel Cadmium RC Car Charger - eBay (item 170134392161 end time Dec-24-08 18:21:47 PST)

My questions are
1. The charger has a red and black clamp for battery terminals. What size battery do I hook the charger in to ?

2. How do I put the battery in the car ? I can't see any openings on the body, so I'm assuming I have to unscrew something.

I'm just trying to be careful because this R/C car, and charger look they are from the 70, or 80's and I do not want to break anything.

Any help I can get I would really appreciate. Even if it's just someone or a website to get in contact with. I have tried both google and Ebay and found basically nothing.

The only thing I keep finding is the golden arrow from Radio shack. Does anyone even know when this car came out roughly ?

I run Nitro RC's and some newer electris but here is my best help..

-There should be a compartment on the bottom that unscrews OR the body MAY come off to get to it.. i'm not completly sure as i've never owned one before..

-Your charger has claps because it can be run off a 6 volt battery(can be bouth at RC shops) for field use.. there should be another plug on it somewhere for the battery to plug in...

Hope this helps :D

thanks a lot man, I figured out how to get the body off, on both sides of the "driver" there are locks that hold the body on.
