I just started using Voice Attack which basically just uses good old windows speech engine and allows you to send commands in game. I could probably tinker or look online for similar software but the guy only wants $8 and it works.
Anyway, I started using it in NR2K3 for simple stuff like selecting and using pit menus and more advanced things like throwing a caution or clearing a black flag. After some tweaking it works beautifully and I don't have to try and type commands in while racing. I imagine this would be great for those with a setup that makes it difficult to reach their keyboard or if they have a Logitech wheel that stops passing the wheel button key bindings along.
So that's the good. Only issue I have so far is using arrow keys in menu. For the life of me I can't get them to work. Anyone else work with this (or similar) software? I'll keep playing around with it to see what I can figure out.
