Is there any word on the Welen Modified mod, cant find much about it

As for the mod, I think it has stalled out or might be dead.

He's right, the forums are down. Beta or no beta that cannot be a good sign. But i read on the old Rura forums that this mod has brutal frame rates---even worse than the owr mod. I've never seen a Welen Modified race so i don't know how many cars run on the track at the same time, but for my computer's sake i hope it's not too many.

The mod is not dead whatsoever. Not sure where you ehard the Mod will be a killer on framerates, as that has not been discussed by the development team in public yet. The forums are not down, there is a problem with the link. Here is a direct link SIModified.com :: Index . Beta templates for the Troyer have just been posted, as things are moving along nicely. Just because a beta has not been posted does not mean things are not moving. Things are being done the right way, and not hastily. The development team will not put out an inferior product. As far as how many cars run in a race, its as low as 28 at some tracks up to 42 or so at Loudon.

I hope the whelen mod mod is not dead. ive been waiting for a few years now. My only hope is that someone makes riverhead raceway. thats where i learned what moifieds are.

It would be awesome to race the mods, but without being able to change the physics I'm not all that excited about it I guess

Any word on the status of the home site of this mod, SIModified.com? It's been down for several days. That's not a good sign. It's be nice to get an update on the mod.

As Ben said this mod is no way shape or form dead. The guys working on it are top notch. Currently we are running a little Winter mini league with LMPv2 mod for the guys who race with us when mod comes out. There will also be a spring mini league if anyone would like to join there at Mends Monday Midnight Madness League running Mondays nights around Midnight.
