What is Jr's Future after 07 season???

I just wanted to ask....What will Jr. do after this season..Will he stay with DEI or move on. Of course if he leaves DEI that organization will crumble. Jr. is the heart of DEI. I am sure his mind is wondering after Harvick's comments as well as Gordon's. So what do you think...#8 Red Budweiser for 08 or Black #3 Budweiser..................He has alot on his plate!!!!

I doubt he'll leave DEI...would be cool to see that #3 Bud car though.

I see jr. making the very difficult decision to leave dei and go to rcr. If dei continues to run an operation that isn't up to par with the top teams, then I think he and budweiser will leave. The only way I think he will stay is if he really cares about the people at dei, because if he leaves, dei will disappear, or become non existant.

Jr will be off to RCR and Budweiser will go to a Ford or Toyota team he will get the GM Goodwrench sponsor which is why Harvick is running a different sponsor this year..What number will he drive?..8 of coarse not the 3....My 2 cents worth:spinny:

I don't see Jr. leaving DEI, but if he does, Bud will go with him. Bud has gotten a ton of business and exposure by being his sponsor and I don't see that changing. If he makes the change to RCR, it will be with the red Bud #3.

Bud is with Jr..he has a lifetime contract with them so wherever he goes so does bud. I don't see him going to a toyota or ford...he is a chevy man. RCR, I am not sure, I think he cares about DEI, but what will make or break the deal is if Teresa gives him half ownership of DEI. If she can't agree to that then I think he may consider other options. He stated "He wanted to drive the red #8 and the only place to do that is DEI". SO I guess the ball is in teresa's court..

I agree Bud and Jr go hand in hand.

There is no way Teresa is going to give Jr 50%
He's not going anywhere in my opinion

Theresa needs to realize that Jr. IS DEI.....if he goes, who is going to come in to replace him with the ability and charisma that he has? I see him heading to RCR, be it in the 3 or the 8.

I think seeing Jr. go to RCR would be great. However, don't think that will happen. I'm not really a Earnhardt fan, but I THINK (correct me if I'm wrong), that Sr. built DEI for Jr. Though Theresa own's it, the oraganization was built around Jr's future. With that, I personally think Jr. will stay.

Him driving a 3 black chevy.. I'm not sure it will be received too well. There are too many diehard #3 fans out there who want the number retired.

I think the future of DEI and Dale Jr. really depend on how he does this season and if he has success and puts together a good start then he will have leverage to which, Teresa will have to bend on her end or else he will take his presence and fanbase somewhere else

i think when jr is ready too retire is when he will make the move too go over too rcr.... is has said he will race the #3 before he retires.... well i think thats when he will make the move too rcr.... who knows when that will be... gheesh it could be another 10 years as far as we know...

If he is serious about winning a championship, he will leave DEI, and go to Hendrick or Rousch. There is just too much baggage at DEI, and he needs to step away from his father's shadow. Not unlike the situation with Kyle Petty years ago.
