ok
I have convinced my family to take a trip to the US next winter(your summer) for about 1-2months. I have told my family that I am going to a NASCAR race but i wanted know what is the best track to goto. So far it looks like we are going to NY, Florida and California. So it would have to be a track that is around these areas. I would really like it to be a track that has great viewing and is very exciting.

Any ideas

Cheers Matt

Florida in July you'd be able to go to Daytona for the summer race.

is it the higher in the grandstand the more the tickets cost. also in aus you can get something called a pit pass where you can walk around the garages and pits, is there something like that in NASCAR

The only summer races in those areas are Coke Zero 400 in Daytona, and [insert sponsor's name here] @ the Glen.

Go to Daytona if at all possible. You should be able to obtain some well-priced frontstretch tickets towards either Turn 4, or Turn 1, but beware - due to structures along pit road, you'll likely not be able to see the entire frontstretch from either side if your seat is in the lower half of the grandstand.

Being that you are from Australia, and by your profile picture, I am assuming that you are an Ambrose fan. I would go to Watkins Glenn if I were you because Ambrose will be tough and it may be exciting to see him win his first race.

Unfortunately I had to. I had the tickets bought and everything for the July race this year, but I got laid off....so I had to cancel my trip. Had everything planned out. ARGH.

But I know its not in the summer, but if you ever get a chance to go to the Vegas race, DO IT! I went last year when Carl Edwards won and it was freaking AMAZING. The city was great, the track was great, parking was great. Everything was great. REAL nice track to watch a race on. :D

Daytona for sure. If you get the opportunity, don't pass it up. Nothing compares to seeing a race at that track in person.

There's also Infineon if you're in northern California, another great opportunity for Ambrose to win. I don't know anybody who wouldn't enjoy seeing that, he's by far the most likable driver to come along in the past couple years.
