Whelen Max Conversion

I hope this is the proper place for this.

I got a lil bored Friday night and messed around with the Whelen scene that Smoke-OR reworked. I converted it to Max 6 for those that don't have 7 and above. Sorry for those that use Max 5 yet, I don't have that version. It doen't look as good as Smoke's, but I didn't think it turned out too bad. I'm sure I did miss some stuff on it, but from the end result, it don't look like much.

Thanks goes to everyone that put all the time into making the mod, and for the original scene that was released. I believe Dan Nisbet is the one who put that out. And also thanks goes out to Smoke-OR for all the sweet addons he put into the scene.

You can email me for the file. It's in 7-Zip format, but should be able to open it with Winrar.

hehe yep that looks good. Detach and smooth out the bars some bro...I added the air cleaner and made a cheesy set of pipes for it because I knew the owner of the model didn't want it passed around watch where you post for inquiries. The version you see me using is scanline.

Thanks bud. I really didn't put much time into it, and I prob won't mess with anything on it since it will more than likely be obsolete once the full version of the mod comes out and Dan releases the final rendering scenes. I just figured I would convert Smoke-OR's reworked scene to Max 6 for those that don't have 7 or 8 and wanted to check their paints out.
I also did a scanline one, but it does need ALOT of work if this Troyer didn't change. Pic of it is below. I didn't spend much time on that one either. All I did for each was just re-apply the materials in Max 6 to the 3ds file (the easy stuff....hehehe).
Your stuff on there does look pretty good, even tho you say it was something cheesy. ;) I always have liked the stuff you put out.

Yes sir I would! I'll take all the help I can get.
I found some more tuturiols ,Importing the car file than useing the eyedropper to map parts etc. works pretty good. The max 5 Troyer brazil scene is coming out with jaggie edges scanline comes out better,but cant get shadows to work in scanline.
I went back to the drawing board, cleared the slate and started over.
The COT max 8 scene I Imported that Into Toughs Nextal Max 5 scene I deleted the old car and than used the the eyedropper to map everything in the scene and here are the results.

That worked great, I'm hopeing to the Whelen to look as good.

At least I'm learning Max 5 a bit more.
